കൊച്ചി: വഖഫ് ബോർഡിന്റെ പ്രവർത്തനം സർക്കാർ നിയമിക്കുന്ന ജോയിന്റ് സെക്രട്ടറിയുടെ മേൽനോട്ടത്തിലായിരിക്കണം എന്ന കേരള ഹൈക്കോടതി നിർദേശം റദ്ദാക്കിയ സുപ്രീം കോടതി വിധി സ്വാഗതാർഹമാണെന്ന് വഖഫ് ബോർഡ് ചെയർമാൻ. വഖഫ് നിയമത്തിന് തികച്ചും വിരുദ്ധമായ വിധിയായിരുന്നു ഹൈക്കോടതിയുടേതെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി.(Supreme Court Quashes High Court Ruling On Waqf Board)
ബോർഡിന്റെ ഭാഗം കേൾക്കാതെ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച ആ നിർദേശം സുപ്രീം കോടതി തിരുത്തിയത് നീതിയുടെ വിജയമാണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പ്രതികരിച്ചു. എല്ലാ ഭാഗങ്ങളും വ്യക്തമായി കേട്ട ശേഷം വിഷയം വീണ്ടും പരിഗണിച്ച് തീരുമാനമെടുക്കാൻ ഹൈക്കോടതിയോട് സുപ്രീം കോടതി നിർദേശിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
