ബെംഗളൂരു: റോയൽ ചലഞ്ചേഴ്സ് ബെംഗളൂരു ഐപിഎൽ ചരിത്രത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വിലകൂടിയ ഫ്രാഞ്ചൈസിയായി മാറിയ റെക്കോർഡ് വില്പനയിൽ പ്രതികരണവുമായി മുൻ ഉടമ വിജയ് മല്യ (Vijay Mallya React RCB Record Sale). 1.78 ബില്യൺ ഡോളറിന് (ഏകദേശം 16,500 കോടി രൂപ) ആദിത്യ ബിർള ഗ്രൂപ്പിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള കൺസോർഷ്യം ആർസിബിയെ ഏറ്റെടുത്തതിന് പിന്നാലെയാണ് മല്യ സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയയിൽ കുറിപ്പ് പങ്കുവെച്ചത്.
താൻ ഈ ടീമിനെ വാങ്ങിയ കാലത്തെ ഓർമ്മിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാണ് മല്യ പ്രതികരിച്ചത്. “2008-ൽ 450 കോടി രൂപയ്ക്ക് ഞാൻ ഈ ഫ്രാഞ്ചൈസി വാങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ പലരും എന്നെ പരിഹസിച്ചു. അതൊരു വെറും ആഡംബര പദ്ധതിയോ ഭ്രാന്തോ ആണെന്ന് പലരും വിമർശിച്ചു. എന്നാൽ ഇന്ന് എന്റെ ആ 450 കോടി രൂപയുടെ നിക്ഷേപം 16,500 കോടി രൂപയായി വളർന്നത് കാണുമ്പോൾ അഭിമാനമുണ്ട്,” മല്യ കുറിച്ചു. വിരാട് കോലിയെപ്പോലുള്ള യുവതാരങ്ങളെ ടീമിലെടുത്തതും ആർസിബി ആരാധകരുടെ പിന്തുണയും തന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിലെ മായാത്ത ഓർമ്മകളാണെന്നും മല്യ കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു.
