കോഴിക്കോട്: പ്രായപൂർത്തിയാകാത്ത പെൺകുട്ടിക്ക് നേരെ ലൈംഗികാതിക്രമം നടത്തിയ 63-കാരനെ എലത്തൂർ പോലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു (Kozhikode Minor Abuse Case). വെങ്ങാലി സ്വദേശി മമ്മദ് കോയയാണ് പിടിയിലായത്. ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച വൈകീട്ടോടെ പെൺകുട്ടിയുടെ വീടിന് സമീപത്തുവെച്ച് പ്രതി കടന്നുപിടിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ആക്രമണത്തിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രതിരോധിച്ച് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ട പെൺകുട്ടി എലത്തൂർ പോലീസിൽ പരാതി നൽകി.
ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർ രഞ്ജിത്, സബ് ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർമാരായ ഷഹദ്, വിജയൻ എന്നിവരടങ്ങുന്ന സംഘമാണ് വെങ്ങാലിയിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രതിയെ കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുത്തത്. പ്രതിയുടെ അറസ്റ്റ് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയ ശേഷം കോടതിയിൽ ഹാജരാക്കി.
