ഒറ്റപ്പാലം: തെന്നടി ബസാറിലെ വാടകവീട്ടിൽ യുവതിയെ മരിച്ച നിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തിയ സംഭവം കൊലപാതകമാണെന്ന് സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ച് പൊലീസ് (Ottapalam Murder Case). കൃഷ്ണവേണി (23) കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട കേസിൽ ഭർത്താവ് സേലം ആത്തൂർ സ്വദേശി മണികണ്ഠനെ (37) ഒറ്റപ്പാലം പൊലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു.
പോസ്റ്റ്മോർട്ടം റിപ്പോർട്ടിലാണ് കൃഷ്ണവേണിയുടേത് സ്വാഭാവിക മരണമല്ലെന്നും ശ്വാസം മുട്ടിച്ചുള്ള കൊലപാതകമാണെന്നും വ്യക്തമായത്. തുണി ഉപയോഗിച്ച് വായയും മൂക്കും പൊത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചാണ് മണികണ്ഠൻ കൊലപാതകം നടത്തിയത്.സംശയത്തെത്തുടർന്ന് കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുത്ത് ചോദ്യം ചെയ്തതോടെ മണികണ്ഠൻ കുറ്റം സമ്മതിച്ചു. ഞായറാഴ്ചയാണ് അശ്വനി ആശുപത്രിക്ക് സമീപത്തെ വാടകവീട്ടിൽ മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.അറസ്റ്റ് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയ പ്രതിയെ കോടതിയിൽ ഹാജരാക്കി റിമാൻഡ് ചെയ്തു.കുടുംബതർക്കമാണ് കൊലപാതകത്തിലേക്ക് നയിച്ചതെന്നാണ് പ്രാഥമിക നിഗമനം. പൊലീസ് കൂടുതൽ അന്വേഷണം നടത്തിവരികയാണ്.
