കോട്ടയം: കോട്ടയം തലയോലപ്പറമ്പ് വെട്ടിക്കാട്ട് മുക്കിൽ നിർത്തിയിട്ടിരുന്ന ഗ്യാസ് സിലിണ്ടർ കയറ്റിയ ലോറി കത്തിക്കാൻ ശ്രമം (Crime). നിർത്തിയിട്ടിരുന്ന ലോറിയിലാണ് യുവാവ് തീ വയ്ക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. പുലർച്ചെ നടന്ന സംഭവത്തിൽ ഒരു ഗ്യാസ് സിലിണ്ടറിന് തീപിടിച്ചു. എന്നാൽ, നാട്ടുകാരും ഫയർഫോഴ്സും ഉടൻ ഇടപെട്ട് തീ അണച്ചതിനാൽ വലിയ അപകടം ഒഴിവായി.

A major disaster was averted in Thalayolaparambu, Kottayam, after a youth attempted to set fire to a parked LPG cylinder-laden lorry, resulting in one cylinder catching fire before locals and the fire force extinguished it. The accused, identified as a mentally challenged youth from Kadaplamattam, was taken into police custody. He reportedly told the police that he carried out the act with the intention of taking his own life.
