തൃശൂർ: ബലാത്സംഗക്കേസിൽ പ്രതിയായ പാലക്കാട് എം.എൽ.എ. രാഹുൽ മാങ്കൂട്ടത്തിലിന്റെ അറസ്റ്റ് ഹൈക്കോടതി തടഞ്ഞ നടപടിയിൽ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പിണറായി വിജയൻ പ്രതികരിച്ചു (Pinarayi Vijayan). അറസ്റ്റ് കോടതി തടഞ്ഞത് തികച്ചും സ്വാഭാവികമായ നടപടിയാണ് എന്നാണ് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി തൃശ്ശൂരിൽ 'മീറ്റ് ദ പ്രസ്' പരിപാടിയിൽ സംസാരിക്കവെ വ്യക്തമാക്കിയത്.
രാഹുലിന്റെ അറസ്റ്റ് തടയേണ്ട ഒരാവശ്യവും പോലീസിനില്ലെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു. എം.എൽ.എയെ മനഃപൂർവ്വം അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കുകയാണ് എന്ന തരത്തിലുള്ള പ്രചാരണം ശരിയല്ലെന്നും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു

Speaking at a 'Meet the Press' event in Thrissur, the Chief Minister clarified that the police have no intention of obstructing the arrest, dismissing the argument that the delay in apprehension was deliberate on the part of the authorities.
