സുന്ദർഗഡ്: ഒഡീഷയിലെ സുന്ദർഗഡ് (Sundargarh) ജില്ലയിൽ വിഷം നൽകി പുള്ളിപ്പുലിയെ കൊന്ന കേസിൽ 61 വയസ്സുകാരൻ അറസ്റ്റിലായി. വനം വകുപ്പ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരാണ് ഇക്കാര്യം അറിയിച്ചത്.
ബൊനായി വനമേഖലയിലെ തമ്ര റേഞ്ചിലുള്ള കുസുംഡിഹി ഗ്രാമത്തിന് സമീപമാണ് ഏകദേശം 4 വയസ്സുള്ള പെൺപുലി ചത്ത നിലയിൽ കാണപ്പെട്ടത്. വിഷം ചേർത്ത കന്നുകാലികളുടെ മാംസം കഴിച്ചതാണ് പുള്ളിപ്പുലി ചത്തത് എന്ന് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ പറഞ്ഞു. കുസുംഡിഹി ഗ്രാമവാസിയായ നുവാസ് ക്സെസ്സ് ആണ് പുള്ളിപ്പുലിയെ കൊന്ന കേസിൽ അറസ്റ്റിലായത്. മൃഗത്തെ വിഷം കൊടുത്ത് കൊലപ്പെടുത്തിയത് ഇയാൾ സമ്മതിച്ചതായും ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ അറിയിച്ചു.
A 61-year-old man, Nuas Xess, was arrested in Sundargarh district, Odisha, for allegedly poisoning a leopard to death. The four-year-old female leopard died near Kusumdihi village after consuming poisoned cattle meat, which was reportedly intended to trap the animal. The accused has confessed to the crime.
